Two Words: Cloward and Piven = Obama is Following their Strategy to the Letter

The Cloward-Piven Strategy

“The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The Cloward-Piven strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with the flood of impossible demands and entitlements thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse”

Check this link for a better description:

The liberal record of unmitigated legislative disasters, the latest of which is now being played out in the financial markets before our eyes. Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress – with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works?

Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway. Why? …Two words: Cloward-Piven

Let’s recap….

So far under Obama we have gone from one “crisis” to another. By crisis By crisis, what I mean is a publicly visible disruption in some institution or another. When Obama started it was the bailouts and the stimulus plan…which we were told we “had to do” or else…then the govt tried real hard to manufacture a swine flu crisis…then we were onto healthcare which was jammed thru against overwhelming opposition by a majority of Americans…almost nothing the Govt told us about the healthcare tax was true or even close… then financial reform …”so we never have to go through this again (meltdown) yet just like with healthcare ‘reform’ those new laws totalling over 5,000 pages, fail to even address the problems they were written and passed so hastily to cure. Add to that
too all of that the promise that between now and midterm elections in November we will be sold both the job killing “Cap and Tax” bill, followed by Obama’s last chance to force immigration “reform” down our unwilling and objecting throats.

Realizing what has occurred and what we have been promised will occur before midterm elections, at what point are people going to WAKE UP and see the Obama agenda for what it is…and not what people wish it to be?

– Crisis after crisis is identified all requiring the government to push through huge and far reaching reforms which all equal a much larger and much more invasive government for us all to contend with. Then after these ‘must pass now’ “reform” bills are passed and we have a chance to finally figure out exactly what it will do we discover that besides doing all of the things that did not need to be done …they don’t even correct the problem they were pushed through quickly to fix? What the heck?

Healthcare reform did nothing to reform healthcare but what it did do was increase the cost of our existing coverage, the CBO numbers Obama used to sell this power grab we now find out are all bogus, the financial impact this new law has on small business makes it a near certainty that fewer, NOT more jobs would created and finally nothing in it addressed the rapid rise in the costs of care …oh and by the way as a result of this new law we now have 20,000 more unionized healthcare workers!

Since none of this makes any sense …what’s really going on? Cloward and Pivens supply the only answer that is 100% consistent with what the Obama administration has done (versus what they have said)One more time …what is the Cloward-Piven Strategy?

Cloward-Piven Strategy The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.]

No matter where the strategy is implemented, it shares the following features:
• The offensive organizes previously unorganized groups eligible for government benefits but not currently receiving all they can.
• The offensive seeks to identify new beneficiaries and/or create new benefits.
• The overarching aim is always to impose new stresses on target systems, with the ultimate goal of forcing their collapse.

Stevie Wonder can see whats going on here…U.S. residents are more dependant on government assistance than ever before. 1 in 4.5 Americans buy their groceries with money they get from the government. We are trillions of dollars in debt and instead of spending cuts Obama continues to spend money like a drunken sailor, he tells us his #1 focus is to create jobs then jams the biggest tax increase on small business in the last 20 years through on them and tells us all that “Cap and Tax” is next followed by trying to grant amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens currently doing jobs they have no legal right to do. People the reason nothing Obama has been doing makes any sense to any of us is because we all assume that his goal is to usher our economy back to health …which is 180 degrees wrong! take a second and assume his goal is to overload our system until it grinds itself to a halt … and he is really trying to usher our economy into a state of collapse… NOW does it make alot more sense?

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

  1. Couldn't agree more with this analysis but it's not just the left that's guilty of it: the right has also lost faith with the need for difficult structural reforms in favour of the sticking plaster. Take welfare spending in the 80s UK – The Iron Lady beat the unions but hid the ensuing welfare claimants by making millions eligible to claim 'incapacity' rather than unemployment benefit. They have been claiming ever since and are now a powerful vested interest. Public sector spending in the UK is greater than 50% (regional variations go up to 80%)and yet even our latest cuts to keep our standing in the debt markets has not really addressed the balance. All the Western economies need to understand that capital flight; ageing populations; soaring debt etc. are unsustainable – whichever party is in power.

Tell me your thoughts and I will respond!
