The Weakness of our People is Causing Us to Lose Our Freedoms

At one time, before government got its nose into every aspect of our lives, there were jobs everywhere. After fifty years plus of strong government interference, and unions, the jobs have left here for greener and less intrusive and less expensive pastures. This country is being sucked dry mostly from within. Political correctness and our obsession with worrying that something we say might offend someone else has caused all of this country’s testosterone to dry up and leave. This country was founded and flourished when it was a nation of values and absolutes, when it knew the difference between right and wrong and had the moral courage to point it out.

Our country survived pretty well the first 200 years or so without health insurance and now all of a sudden we can no longer get along without health insurance and the government watching over both shoulders. I’ve seen the people of our country go from a proud people who derived great satisfaction by taking care of themselves and their families…to a people that can’t even stand up or feed themselves without some sort of government help … to a people who now require a staggering 2 yrs of unemployment benefits to find a job after they lose theirs. Our weakness and the weakness of our people are one reason We are losing our Freedom, and losing our country to illegal aliens who smell that softness and weakness and thumb their noses at us and our laws as a result. But, people that can’t take care of themselves deserve neither Freedom nor a country. Can you take care of yourself without government help?

Two Words: Cloward and Piven = Obama is Following their Strategy to the Letter

The Cloward-Piven Strategy

“The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The Cloward-Piven strategy seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with the flood of impossible demands and entitlements thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse”

Check this link for a better description:

The liberal record of unmitigated legislative disasters, the latest of which is now being played out in the financial markets before our eyes. Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress – with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works?

Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway. Why? …Two words: Cloward-Piven

Let’s recap….

So far under Obama we have gone from one “crisis” to another. By crisis By crisis, what I mean is a publicly visible disruption in some institution or another. When Obama started it was the bailouts and the stimulus plan…which we were told we “had to do” or else…then the govt tried real hard to manufacture a swine flu crisis…then we were onto healthcare which was jammed thru against overwhelming opposition by a majority of Americans…almost nothing the Govt told us about the healthcare tax was true or even close… then financial reform …”so we never have to go through this again (meltdown) yet just like with healthcare ‘reform’ those new laws totalling over 5,000 pages, fail to even address the problems they were written and passed so hastily to cure. Add to that
too all of that the promise that between now and midterm elections in November we will be sold both the job killing “Cap and Tax” bill, followed by Obama’s last chance to force immigration “reform” down our unwilling and objecting throats.

Realizing what has occurred and what we have been promised will occur before midterm elections, at what point are people going to WAKE UP and see the Obama agenda for what it is…and not what people wish it to be?

– Crisis after crisis is identified all requiring the government to push through huge and far reaching reforms which all equal a much larger and much more invasive government for us all to contend with. Then after these ‘must pass now’ “reform” bills are passed and we have a chance to finally figure out exactly what it will do we discover that besides doing all of the things that did not need to be done …they don’t even correct the problem they were pushed through quickly to fix? What the heck?

Healthcare reform did nothing to reform healthcare but what it did do was increase the cost of our existing coverage, the CBO numbers Obama used to sell this power grab we now find out are all bogus, the financial impact this new law has on small business makes it a near certainty that fewer, NOT more jobs would created and finally nothing in it addressed the rapid rise in the costs of care …oh and by the way as a result of this new law we now have 20,000 more unionized healthcare workers!

Since none of this makes any sense …what’s really going on? Cloward and Pivens supply the only answer that is 100% consistent with what the Obama administration has done (versus what they have said)One more time …what is the Cloward-Piven Strategy?

Cloward-Piven Strategy The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.]

No matter where the strategy is implemented, it shares the following features:
• The offensive organizes previously unorganized groups eligible for government benefits but not currently receiving all they can.
• The offensive seeks to identify new beneficiaries and/or create new benefits.
• The overarching aim is always to impose new stresses on target systems, with the ultimate goal of forcing their collapse.

Stevie Wonder can see whats going on here…U.S. residents are more dependant on government assistance than ever before. 1 in 4.5 Americans buy their groceries with money they get from the government. We are trillions of dollars in debt and instead of spending cuts Obama continues to spend money like a drunken sailor, he tells us his #1 focus is to create jobs then jams the biggest tax increase on small business in the last 20 years through on them and tells us all that “Cap and Tax” is next followed by trying to grant amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens currently doing jobs they have no legal right to do. People the reason nothing Obama has been doing makes any sense to any of us is because we all assume that his goal is to usher our economy back to health …which is 180 degrees wrong! take a second and assume his goal is to overload our system until it grinds itself to a halt … and he is really trying to usher our economy into a state of collapse… NOW does it make alot more sense?

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

The (In)Tolerance Chronicles

What a week it has been for the ideal of tolerance. After reviewing the events of the last couple of weeks I have drawn the following conclusions:

1) When it comes to practicing what they preach, the political left is either suffering from a lack of practice or they are the most hypocritical group of people on this earth.

2) No where is the notion of tolerance more wanting for recruits, for participants, or for practitioners of this highly sought after virtue more, than on the forums and blogs of Oregon’s extreme left notably, (at least for this installment) Facebook, and the radical left wingers at Blue Oregon (

First Case
Tolerance and Diversity vs. Blue Oregon (the extreme left wing mutual admiration society)

In the matter of Tolerance and Diversity v. Blue Oregon

Some quick background first: Currently neither Roger nor myself are able to post any comments on the Blue Oregon forum site. I admit that I was inexplicably naieve when I first started to post my comments there. How so? I engaged others in the spirit of lively and spirited political debate under the impression that they were interested in exploring the strength of their own ideas through trial by fire and being required to back up the sometimes really silly things they claim to believe. I also am always surprised by the hostility I encounter as soon as I take a conversation outside their comfort zone (which happens very quickly). The truth turned out to be exactly what William F Buckley said it would be …that is “Liberals pretend to be open to considering alternative theories and opinions until they realize that there actually are different opinions out there” the part he left out is the ending which would go like this ..”and once they identify the person who doesn’t walk in lockstep with the failed policies and ideas of the left they do anything and everything to destroy that person …personal attacks, name calling …whetever it takes to discredit him or her” then lastly if none of those things are effective in silencing the non conforming opinion then they will silence that person themselves by blcoking that person from posting or commenting. Which is exactly what we both experienced within the 1st 2 weeks of our association with Boo Hoo Oregon.

Who are the people at BO?

Don’t Re-Elect David Who? David Sue? David Wu!

All Dan Benjamin wants is his money. And the Dead Beat Congressman Who Owes him and has Owed Him For 4 Years is Oregon’s David Wu. Not to worry because he has never met any spending bill he didn’t love the only problem is he and his wife are not a government entity and when they BOUNCE CHECKS or even WRITE BAD CHECKS to pay for anything they can GO TO JAIL!!’

Benjamin, a contractor who owns Sundance Contracting, did some work in 2006 and 2007 for Michelle Wu, wife of Rep. David Wu (D-Ore.) and then an interior decorator on Capitol Hill.

Benjamin, who has done work for CNN’s Paul Steinhauser, D.C. Superior Court Judge Noel Johnson and D.C. City Councilman Tommy Wells’s chief of staff, was named one of the best contractors in D.C. in 2009 by the Washington City Paper’s readers.

He says Wu approached him to do “substantial renovation” in her residence, as well as some carpentry in her office and some work for a mutual client. The work for Wu, Benjamin says, was about $12,000.

“She bounced checks to me,” Benjamin tells Shenanigans. “She promised to pay me back, and she never did. I [had to] take her to court to get a judgment, and I still have not gotten paid,” he says.

The D.C. Superior Court ruled that Wu — who didn’t show up — owes Benjamin $10,652.45, according to a copy of the judgment. That’s $9,263.00 plus $1,389.45 for late fees. (He’s willing to cut his losses on the remainder.)

“At first, she was promising to pay,” Benjamin says.

When Shenanigans talked to Wu last November, she said it was a result of “a business that went bad” and that she was “going to talk to my family” to get things resolved. Clearly, that didn’t happen.

“After she bounced her checks to me, she offered to replace them. … She signed my document that was notarized, which stated she accrued debt,” Benjamin says. “As a fellow Capitol Hill resident, I’d see her and she’d say, ‘Oh, I’m trying; I’m talking to my Dad’ and ‘Oh, I’m working on it,’ and ‘Dan, you’re first on my list.’” She also asked Benjamin to finish the renovations, he said, but he, naturally, declined.

“The only way I can afford to chase after her is to have a lawyer do this on contingency,” he adds, mentioning that the lawyer will take 25 percent of whatever he gets.

Benjamin says he saw her standing in line at a Barbara Walters book signing last year in May. “I pulled her out of line and started talking to her,” he says. “She said she was working on it. I also contacted her husband’s office and spoke to them and sent a certified letter” to Wu’s office.

Still — nothing.

Benjamin, who also does pro bono work for needy Capitol Hillers, adds that he’s a Democrat — like her husband — but this ain’t politics; it’s business. “I’m going to do what I can to get my money … whatever it takes.”

Michelle Wu could not be reached in numerous attempts to contact her. Rep. David Wu’s office had “no comment.”

Obama-Pelosi-Reid Economic Crisis Pushes People to Buy Ayn Rand Novel

In the wake of global economic downturn, sales on Ayn Rand’s classic libertarian apocalypse novel Atlas Shrugged took a marked jump on Amazon over the past few weeks. One sure sign that America has finally come out from under the ether is the fact that Ayn Rand’s Book has passed Obama’s “Audacity of Socialism” book on Amazon’s list
